Health Information Management (HIM) Analyst

What You Will Do:

Under the direction of the HIM Supervisor & HIM Director, the HIM Analyst will be responsible for the daily operations of the technical areas of the HIM Department including EHR Analysis/Monitoring Documentation Integrity within the EHR, Physician Suspension, Birth Certificates, Record Scanning, Release of Information, and Coordinating Record Review.

The HIM Analyst may also be called upon to assist with the filing of HCAI data report information for Emergency Department and Hospital Inpatient Discharge Data and the filing of Newborn Screening Data for the California Department of Public Health.

SHIFT: Days 8AM-5:30PM

Acts as Receptionist for the Department

Assists Physicians

What You Will Need:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Two or more years of previous similar hospital experience (Examples: Emergency Department, Inpatient Care, or related).

General knowledge of HIPAA, TJC standards and electronic medical record (EHR) requirements.

The annual salary range for this position is $37,600.00-$56,400.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
