Position Summary + Position is responsible for ICD-9 /ICD-10 and CPT Outpatient coding of diagnosis and procedures. Must be able to work independently. Primary Position Responsibilities + Codes and abstracts outpatient records using ICD-9/ ICD-10 and CPT. + Able to communicate well among all hospital departments. + Uses 3M360 computer assisted coding program for coding. + Meets daily productivity standards, along with meeting Team Goal for DNFC (Discharge Not Final Coded). + Maintains current CCA certification and/ or RHIT + Qualifications + Minimum Education : + Required: + High School Diploma or Equivalent + Preferred: + Associates Degree + Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation) : + Required: + 2 years hospital outpatient/physician office coding + Preferred: + 3-5 years hospital outpatient/physician office coding + License, Registry or Certification : + Required: + CCA + Preferred: + CCS
