In this pivotal role, you'll shape our country wide quality initiatives by leading a diverse team to drive Quality Improvement efforts and reduce the Cost of Non-Quality in partnership with Domain Leaders and Process Owners. Additionally, you'll champion Customer Satisfaction across Thales Australia’s portfolio, serving as the Group QCS Customer Satisfaction Leader.
Working from either our Melbourne office in the World Trade Centre on Wurundjeri land, or our Sydney HQ, Sydney Olympic Park, on Wann-gal land, your role purpose will be -
Lead Quality Improvement initiatives and reduce the Cost of Non-Quality in collaboration with Domain/Business Unit and Functional Leaders
Champion Customer Satisfaction across Thales Australia’s portfolio, fulfilling the Group QCS Customer Satisfaction Leader role
Drive Continuous Improvement of the Management System while maintaining ISO9001 Certification and ensuring effective Change Management
Enhance the organization’s Quality Capabilities and Continuous Improvement Culture across all business areas
Improve internal customer experience and elevate senior leadership awareness of QA contributions through a structured engagement framework
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
Strong leadership experience with a customer-centric focus, preferably in complex engineering or industrial settings
Solid understanding of quality and process improvement principles
Strategic influencing skills to drive improvements across the organization
Ability to articulate a vision, mobilize teams, and achieve strategic outcomes
Dedicated to addressing customer needs and enhancing service quality
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork
Numerate and analytical, proficient in Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or equivalent qualifications
Lean/Process Improvement certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt).
Preferred qualifications in Data Science or Business Intelligence (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional)
Preferred qualifications in Change Management (e.g., PROSCI)
