The Head of People Development (f/m/d) is a critical leadership role at SAP and part of our People and Culture organisation. Leading the strategic direction of key talent, performance, and development initiatives. Responsible for crafting, refining, implementing, and measuring impactful talent programs that fuel our Growth Culture. Leading and motivating a team to create the most impact for our talent and our business at SAP. The ideal candidate has both strategic and operational skills and comes from a strong background in talent management.
What you'll do
Talent Strategy and Talent Programs
Create, lead, and implement a strategic talent framework as part of our People Agenda. This includes, end-to-end strategy and responsibility for talent programs which enable and accelerate the company strategy, including (but not limited to top talent programs, expert talent, talent recognition, talent rotations etc).. Working hand in hand across the P&C team (Talent Discovery, Early Career Talent, Leadership Development) to create a comprehensive and collective approach to talent. Continuously review and refine existing and new talent initiatives to ensure they have clear objectives and outcomes linked to company objectives, review, refresh and remove programs as needed. Our talent strategy is designed with inclusion and diversity from the start, all programs ensure we are developing and elevating the most diverse talent across our company.
Performance Management
Responsible for the end-to-end Performance strategy at SAP. Creating, communicating, implementing, reviewing, and improving a business-led strategic initiative that unlocks the highest levels of performance for SAP. Performance management enables our employees to own the goals, development, and performance outcomes with the support of their manager. Introduce latest practice into our performance management approach, on goal setting, feedback culture, pay for performance etc. all of which ensure we stay future focused. Lead the performance management team, inspire, and support the team to execute and develop.
Global On-Boarding
Lead the global on-boarding strategy at SAP. Providing the best on-boarding experience for our newest team members to welcome them, drive a sense of belonging and ensure their success regardless of role, function, and location. Introduce the latest thinking and technology into the on-boarding strategy and lead our global on-boarding team.
What you bring
Proven experience in talent strategy, talent management, development, and impact in a global company environment Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and the ability to measure and demonstrate the impact of talent initiatives. Relevant, up to date and future focused, bringing the latest thinking and practices to all of our talent initiatives.

Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead a diverse global team, to set a clear strategy, inspire, and deliver impact
