Role Purpose

The Head of People & Culture is a key member of the agency Executive team, providing technical coaching, counsel and guidance along with driving innovative and future facing people strategies. This role works alongside the CEO by developing a deep strategic partnership, providing value beyond people & culture on broader business challenges and solutions. The role also acts as a senior leader in the Groupe People & Culture team, leading a range of Publicis Groupe strategic projects.

 

Key Outputs

Lead the innovative thinking, thought leadership and future-focused discussions to craft and execute the agency people strategy which could include retention, DE&I, reward and recognition, performance management, L&D, and other people related initiatives to support business goals and objectives.Be actively involved in internal knowledge sharing, gaining industry insights, upskilling (attending events or webinars) to ensure focus on P&C trends and future workforce modelsAct as an expert counsel to the CEO (and other leaders as relevant) developing a deep strategic partnership, providing value beyond people & culture.Lead people discussions confidently through deep commercial understanding, business acumen and a knowledge of the current challenges the agency faces.Utilise industry understanding, strategy, people stats and insights to provide a commercial people and culture lens.Develop and drive ways to improve our organisational culture and EVP to attract, engage and retain high calibre employees.Oversee all senior Employee Relations matters and ensure compliance with company policy, federal, state and local employment laws, delegating where possible to the People and Culture Manager.Instil a culture of progressive people development through innovative talent succession planning, review completion and calibration, retention, and development strategies.Lead the implementation of and create value from the relevant Groupe programs, policies, or operational processes.Provide a meaningful contribution to the broader P&C team acting as a senior leader to coach and inspire junior team members.

 

Skills & Experience

10+ years of people & culture experience, most recently in a BP/Director role ideally within the media, advertising or digital industry.Meaningful examples of the creation of an innovative (possibly award winning) people strategy alongside the process of stakeholder engagement and buy-in, implementation and reflection.Experience partnering with a CEO and CFO and holding executive level discussions.Deep and broad experience across the whole employee lifecycle including recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, leadership development, remuneration and benefits, employee relations and off-boarding.Demonstrated experience working across the complexities that multi-site and matrix style organisational set-up brings and how to overcome these challenges to your advantage.Excellent working knowledge of employment law, including the Fair Work Act and the National Employment Standards, with the ability to apply this knowledge in workplace situations.
