The Head of Order Management is a transactional role that is responsible for leading the order management function, ensuring the efficient processing of sales orders and ensuring compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in order management, revenue accounting, and excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management: 

Lead and manage the order management team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.

Establish and monitor team goals, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with company objectives.

Collaboration and Support:

Work with the various Sales and Customer Support teams to ensure they understand the process and how to correctly enter orders. 

Act as an expert for related questions.

Order Management:

Oversee the end-to-end order management process, including order review, processing, and fulfillment.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of sales orders, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, customer success) to resolve order-related issues and improve processes.

Process Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance order accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for order management activities.

Leverage technology and automation to streamline workflows and reduce manual efforts.

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and customer requirements.

Monitor and analyze key metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Operations, Accounting, or a related field. MBA preferred.

Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in sales operations, order management, or deal desk roles, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership position.

Strong understanding of sales order processes, deal structuring, and contract management.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.

Experience with CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, Sage Intacct, Netsuite, etc.) and proficiency in Google Suite.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in a technology or software / SaaS company.

Knowledge of international order management and global sales operations.

Familiarity with revenue recognition principles and financial compliance.
