Reporting to the Managing Director – Mr Price, this role involves developing and implementing operational strategies aligned with company goals to ensure efficient, sustainable, and profitable operations, ultimately achieving our sales, profit, and growth targets.
Relevant Degree or NQF level 6 equivalent 7+ years experience in a similar Retail Store Operations Senior Leadership position Knowledge and understanding of Retail Value Chain, insights and trends.Understanding of various sales platforms & territories.Commercial acumen, analytical and report writing skills.Sound communication & negotiation skillsFormulate, lead and measure the implementation of the Operations strategy for the business. Contribute to the development of the Company strategy and ensure communication & a clear understanding thereof throughout the business.Monitor sales & performance of key indicators on the Ops dashboard to raise any opportunities and concerns with Ops Management.Analyse sales & profitability reports by store, area and region to identify risk & opportunities, ensuring the Ops team can implement actions for improved performance.Lead the operations & visual team in achieving the customer experience strategy and imperatives, ensuring that Mr Price customer service, in-store experience & visual standards are executed. Investigate and identify growth opportunities within the operations environment through the execution of our new store growth strategy as well as revamps & relocations to achieve profit objectives.Collaborate, formulate and execute the store design, innovation and in-store experience strategy.Leading and inspiring the Ops management teams, across geographical areas, to deliver Dashboard KPI's & operational strategy through regular store visits, weekly conference calls, one-on-ones etc, to consistently ensuring effective communication.Identify and drive training needs, coaching and development with a key focus on Talent management and succession planning, including effective performance feedback to achieve high performance teams.Manage and maximise resources available, including expenses, to achieve return on investment.Manage stock losses in line with company processes to achieve Operations KPI's.Identify opportunities to reduce trading space or consider store closures to maximise profitabilityIdentify opportunities & trends in our assortment shape, depth and location of product in stores to ensure that sales are optimised.Lead the seasonal space planning (GMROM & GMROI) and store sales reforecasts monthly.Deliver a seasonal post mortem to the business on merchandise operations performance.Security Risk Control of all Operations assets and the timely escalation with the relevant internal and external stakeholders regarding any matters
