In order to responsibly execute on Equitable’s growth strategy launched in May 2023 at Investor Day, Risk Management has been charged with reorienting its risk philosophy to become a strategic enabler of growth, whilst being cognizant of the risks of the company and protecting our balance sheet. The Head of Investment and ALM Risk is a critical member of the Risk Management Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Financial and Strategic Risk and working closely with other senior leaders within the company including CRO, this role is essential in advancing our risk analytics capabilities. The primary focus is on enhancing insights that optimize risk-adjusted returns for our General Account. Additionally, the role involves developing analytical tools to monitor credit exposure to reinsurance and derivatives counterparties, thereby guiding the strategic direction of the enterprise. This is a hybrid position, working in office at least 3 days per week. **Key Job Responsibilities** + Enhance insights into risk-adjusted returns, ensuring alignment with the General Account and Business lines’ objectives + Refine our credit stress testing and limit framework + Develop and implement analytics for monitoring credit exposure to reinsurance and derivatives counterparties. + Collaborate with leadership to educate on technical topics, inform, and help shape the strategic direction of the enterprise + Communicate, both in writing and verbally, risk matters to the senior leaders at ALCO, Management Committee or Board of Directors + Lead regulatory advocacy efforts related to investment risk + Lead the day-to-day responsibilities of the Investment Risk function (with support of a team), such as performing risk oversight of all material General Account investment management activities undertaken by the Investment Team and reinsurance treaties **Additional Responsibilities** + Support the assessment of the balance sheet, its potential vulnerabilities and opportunities to enhance our risk profile + Support the company strategy by providing technical insight into evolutions of current and potential new markets and transactions + Continuously seek opportunities to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and automation of risk management tasks + Equip our business partners with sufficient knowledge of the risk framework so that risk is incorporated into their decision-making process + Ensure all Risk indicators and limit are fit for purpose and enable the new growth strategy + **In Office Schedule:** This role will be working in office at least 3 days per week The total targeted compensation range for this position is $250,000 to $500,000.
