We are currently seeking a dynamic Head of Government Affairs (ANZ) to implement Fortinet’s Government Affairs strategy, priorities, and execution, with primary focus on Australia and New Zealand. The position will report to Fortinet’s VP, Corporate & Government Affairs.
This person will help develop and execute upon government-focused priorities and strategy around:
Building and maintain broad, longstanding positive relationships with key governmental representatives, Collaborating with the Fortinet sales and marketing team to help drive public sector business, Policy stewardship related to cybersecurity and other areas critical to the business, and Grow a strong relationship between Fortinet’s security experts and government representatives in the region.As a Head of Government Affairs, you will:
Help expand the government affairs program and drive it to contribute in meaningful, tangible ways. Help ensure strong relations such that Fortinet security experts can help support and advise key government officials on cybersecurity and network security matters. Build effective, trusted, and long-lasting relationships with key government representatives. Represent Fortinet before industry coalitions & organizations. Identify opportunities for strategic engagement in government arenas and policy discussions. Work collaboratively with the Fortinet Government Affairs team and Fortinet Australian team to craft and execute a strategy that supports and achieves business goals and strategic objectives. Draft content for use with government representatives.We Are Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to establish positive relationships with key officials. [5-7] years of relevant experience including government affairs experience, and ideally experience with cybersecurity solutions and policies across the Australian government. High integrity and a good understanding of the ethical rules and laws applicable to government affairs and public sector engagement. Solid understanding of public policy, the policymaking process, including the budgetary, legislative, and regulatory arenas, with ability to help translate these efforts to the broader Fortinet team. Proven ability to establish plans and objectives, and then execute in an intelligent, cost effective, and strategic way. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong desire to contribute and a positive can-do attitude. Organized and self-motivated, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Why Join Us:
