The SVP, Talent Enablement Manager will be a key leader within the Consumer Division, leading the Learning and Development (L&D) function for our customer-facing retail bank employees. This individual will lead a team that designs, implements, and facilitates education strategies aimed at enhancing the knowledge and capabilities of our employees. The role will encompass teams that build and deliver education focused on onboarding, deeper capability development, continuous learning, and development programming. They will also be responsible for delivering these programs through classroom and virtual trainings, hosting roundtables, and facilitating other learning initiatives.
Role can be based out of Buffalo NY, Bridgeport CT, NYC, Boston or Timonium MD.
Primary Responsibilities:Develop and implement education strategies focused on four key areas: onboarding for new employees, deepening capabilities of existing employees, continuous learning and development, and development programming.Oversee the delivery of education for customer-facing retail colleagues in classroom, virtual learning, and other interactive formats.Facilitate education sessions, host roundtables, and promote knowledge-sharing among employees.Lead a team responsible for delivering learning and development initiatives.Create a clear vision for the team and align their efforts with broader organizational goals.Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and talent development within the L&D team.Act as a mentor and coach, ensuring the growth and success of team members.Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to identify educational needs and gaps.Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to provide relevant, up-to-date education on products, services, policy changes, operational improvements and sales process.Establish strong relationships across the organization to ensure education programs are aligned with business goals and initiatives.Innovate and enhance training delivery by leveraging technology solutions.Collaborate with technology and innovation teams to design and implement efficient and effective learning solutions.Explore and implement streamlined, cost-effective methods of delivering educational content.Develop cost-neutral business cases for program investments.Ensure the L&D strategy is cost-effective and delivers value to the business.Align learning programs with broader organizational priorities to maximize return on investment.Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations. Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to managementMaintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.Complete other related duties as assignedSupervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities:Manages team focused on professional skills delivery.
Education and Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree. 9 years relevant work experience and 3 years management experience. In lieu of degree, a combined 12 years of higher education and/or work experience, inclusive of 3 years management experience.
