Key Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Diploma with extensive construction management experience. Experience: Minimum 18 years of experience in construction, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of onshore oil and gas projects, with at least 5 years in a similar leadership role. Proven experience in PMC/EPC organizations handling large-scale LNG, NGL, or refinery projects. Expertise in managing simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) and construction in live plants, ensuring minimal impact on schedule and cost. Skills: Strong knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, and QHSE requirements. Proficiency in reviewing method statements, inspection and test plans, lifting/erection plans, construction schedules, and technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to supervise and inspire a multi-national, multi-cultural workforce. Middle East experience and computer literacy in construction-related software are advantageous. Your Responsibilities – Not Limited to:
Leadership and Oversight: Supervise contractor site activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, QHSE standards, and project schedules for timely completion and handover. Lead a team of Construction Supervisors, providing guidance on constructability and addressing on-site challenges. Construction Management: Oversee multi-discipline site construction, including workshop prefabrication, in line with approved plans and specifications. Conduct random inspections of works and materials, ensuring adherence to Work Plans and Inspection Test Plans. Coordination and Problem-Solving: Proactively resolve site issues by coordinating with relevant stakeholders and raising technical queries for necessary modifications. Manage simultaneous operations in live plants, balancing end-user constraints with project goals to minimize schedule and cost impacts. Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning: Coordinate pre-commissioning activities and assist during commissioning to ensure smooth project execution. Clear all Punch List items in a timely manner and facilitate project handovers. Safety and Compliance: Act as a safety leader, ensuring all site activities meet statutory safety and environmental regulations. Foster a culture of safety and quality across all construction operations. Talent Development: Support the development of Qatari Nationals through effective training and mentorship, maximizing their contribution to project success.
