About the Role
This is a critical role responsible for delivering sales and sustainable commercial growth across Guinness Storehouse, Guinness Open Gate Brewery, Roe & Co Whiskey Distillery and Smithwicks Experience, Kilkenny. The role is responsible for marketing and driving traffic to IBH websites and booking engine, ensuring that 1.6 million people plus book tickets and visit our brand homes each year, delivering on the agreed annual ticketing revenue through a mix of volume, pricing strategy and new and enhanced products. A key responsibility is to drive revenue mid week to the Guinness Storehouse.
The role is also responsible for continuous improvement and development to drive further traffic and revenue through our ticketing (e-commerce) channels as well as manage an end ot end CRM system. The role is also responsible for translating Global Brand Playbooks (in particular Guinness) into tactical plans to effectively market and position each brand homes as a must do experience and in the context of Guinness Storehouse play a key role in recruiting new drinkers to the world of Guinness.
The role is managing all the marketing and sales activities for the largest, most high profile visitor attraction in Ireland welcoming over 1.6 million visitors per year. GSH is predominantly an e-commerce business and is the largest e-commerce business across the Diageo portfolio representing over 60% of all Diageo e-commerce NSV. Within tourism and hospitality, it is one of the largest most complex and dynamic businesses within its sector not just in Ireland but across the comparable global visitors experiences. It is the largest brand home across the Diageo portfolio of Brand Homes
Role is responsible for delivering annual sales growth with CAGR of 8%. The role has key accountability for selling price, dynamic pricing, margin and sales mix with finance and operations team’s input. This role oversees significant A&P spend (11% of NSV) ensuring that spend is balanced between effective marketing, sales and cultural activities, and managing labour budget for a team of 31 people.

Post Grad and Degree Qualification in business, sales, tourism, hospitality Digital e-commence or consummate experience in a large scale corporation with transferable skills Strong leadership and people management skills Evidence of continuous Learning & Development to keep apace of the fast paced world of e-commence and visitor experiences Strong financial and commercial acumenAt least 10 years of commercial sales experience in a similar industry A deep understanding of end to end marketing and sales of an high volume, high traffic, transactional e-commerce business A deep understanding of digital tools and platforms to drive awareness, traffic and sales A strong understanding of B2B and B2C sales channels in tourism, in particular tourism FMCG Brand Management experience and exposure Evidence of inspiring and managing a high performing sales and marketing team to deliver results Strong organisational and communication skillsWorking with Us
