Position Purpose:
This role has as primary responsibility to champion Business Excellence initiatives in country to improve the effectiveness, profitability and growth of commercial functions, whilst driving customer engagement transformation. Remit includes driving improvements in SFE, adoption and utilization of VEEVA CRM, , sales incentive design, multichannel customer engagement, embedment of strategic account management and enablement of commercial capability development. Same as stablishing strong KPI framework, and leading Omnichannel and digital capabilities. Secondary responsibility to champion training for Commercial operations in country to develop training plans that support organizational goals.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Key Responsibilities
Drive local deployment of the Business Excellence strategy supporting country roadmap & strategic prioritiesLead the strategy and guide team developing and executing local plan ons:sales force effectiveness initiatives. Ex. Track and manage sales force performance, drive corrective actions for relevant SFE KPIs, conduct territory alignment initiatives, ensure optimal sales force size and structure for all lines of business, develop capability strategies for future portfolio needs, and drive the implementation of alternate go-to-market models
CRM management & adoption.Own training and education to ensure compliance and drive productivity and multi-channel capability improvements aiming for simplicity and agility
Segmentation & TargetingCollaborate with marketing to research, develop and define the strategy to profile, segment and target customers, manage the implementation of projects, identify and communicate best practice and measure success of approaches.
Sales IncentiveTo ensure competitiveness and motivational impact, whilst driving strategic behavioral change. Ensure that local Sales Incentive Plan(SIP) policies and structures are communicated, understood, managed and implemented in-country.
Work closely with commercial leaders (BU Heads) to develop training plans that support organizational goals. And support training team in developing and executing capability framework and commercial team upskilling. Collaborate closely with global L&D team, and local HR team to drive design and implementation of a first line manager curriculum.Multi-channel customer engagement & digital capabilitiesCollaborate cross-functionally to develop effective and efficient commercial channel- & go-to-market strategies to increase SOV and support brand strategies and strategic drivers. Support digital platforms go to MKT and maintenance in collaboration. Support the creation of a simplified and integrated digital ecosystem in alignment in int strategy.
Congress managementPlan and implement congresses (face-to-face/hybrid) by collaborating closely with business owners, team members, customers, and partners, ensuring all event aspects are covered. The role is responsible for overall operational planning which includes site visits, virtual platform management, supplier recommendations, contract negotiations, budgets, creation and ownership of project plans, leading project team calls, attendee logistics oversight and on-site support.
Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Education
Bachelor’s Degree of Life Science (or similar) or Business Administration, master’s degree preferred.Experience
At least 5 years-experience in pharmaceutical company of which significant number of years in leadership position.Significant experience and track record of success in Sales management and brand/product management. Experience (minimum of 3 years) in Rare Diseases preferred; alternatively, demonstrated success in changing from one therapeutic area to another.Experience operating in a multi-national company and in a matrix organization.Ability to move with ease between addressing current needs and planning with informed insights.Able to present issues and recommend solutions.Drives innovation through solutions and enables others to do the same; operates from a framework of possibilities.Strong focus on execution, accountability, role modelling of leadership behaviors and acting with integrity.Ability to effectively navigate ambiguity and lead others through change in a productive manner.Early adopter of digital strategies and demonstrated digital literacy across multiple platforms.Leading cross-functional projectsTrack record in Commercial Excellence / Sales Force Effectiveness / Sales Operations, preferably within a Pharmaceutical / Healthcare company.Fluent in written and spoken Japanese with strong preference for Fluent in English (both written and spoken)Competencies & Behavior
