Head of Asset & Wealth Management Operations Philippines, Managing Director

Job Summary:
 

As the Head of Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) within our global operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all operational activities. Your role will encompass strategic planning, process optimization, risk management, and the assurance of operational excellence in alignment with our firm's wealth management objectives. Your extensive experience in financial services operations, outstanding leadership abilities, and comprehensive understanding of the asset and wealth management industry will be vital in our 24x7 coverage model.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the overall goals and objectives of the Asset and Wealth Management Line of Business.  Collaborate with senior leadership to drive business growth and operational efficiency. Operational Management:  Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless execution of processes and high-quality service delivery.  Manage and optimize operational workflows, systems, and procedures to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.  Implement robust risk management frameworks and controls to safeguard the firm's assets and reputation. Team Leadership:  Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement with a focus on our people and our clients.  Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and across the organization. Client Service:  Ensure exceptional client service by maintaining high standards of operational performance and responsiveness.  Address and resolve client issues and inquiries in a timely and effective manner. Technology and Innovation:  Leverage technology and innovation to drive operational improvements and enhance the client experience.  Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement and integrate new systems and tools. Financial Management:  Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.  Monitor financial performance and implement measures to achieve financial targets. Regulatory Compliance:  Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends, ensuring the firm's operations remain compliant.  Liaise with Controls, Risk and Internal Audit teams as required.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field;  Over-all 15 years+ experience, with at least 12 years in banking / financial services Proven track record of strategic leadership and operational excellence. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and drive change in a complex, fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using technology and data analytics to enhance operational performance. Ability to move product and process initiatives forward in a cross-functional and matrixed organization A strong team player and an ability to work in teams distributed across the globe, including experience in different markets and locations Vocal in challenging business as usual operating models and recommending innovative product / operational transformation and improvements Ability to map proposed solutions against a diverse and complex technology and operations platform Ability to work independently and professionally interact with key stakeholders at very senior levels

Excellent analytical skills, with complementary communications and presentation skills Should be creative and innovative; challenges status quo; generates strategic advice/product/client solutions  Have a track record of formulating innovative ideas and gaining buy-in from senior management in addition to a track record of execution/delivery/process improvement/leadership in a challenging environment Experience with the build out and execution of a new team or procedures, ability to identify risks and issues and successfully navigate through to completion Self-reliance and willingness to "own" problems and creatively find solutions
