Head of APAC/ANZ, Creative & Marketing - 12 month contract

They are on a mission to build a best-in-class international marketing organization. With functions spanning global business and consumer marketing, consumer insights, creative, brand marketing, and marketing operations, the team enables and activates marketing initiatives across the entire Snap Inc. ecosystem.

 

We’re looking for a senior leader to lead marketing across both APAC and ANZ, from our Sydney office.  This person would act as the regional leader for marketing in APAC while also leading the marketing specific plans for Australia and New Zealand. This is a 12 month cover for parental leave.

 

In this role, you’ll work closely with our APAC president as well as the General Managers from ANZ, India and China, and partner with Creative, Product, Comms, Sales, and Insights teams in APAC to build and execute marketing programs which grow Snap’s business goals across revenue, community and AR. This role will report directly to the Global Chief Marketing Officer, who is based in New York.

What you’ll do, as Head of APAC (approx. 40% of role)

Lead the overall APAC Marketing strategy, focusing on both consumer (B2C) and business (B2B) audiences across ANZ, China and India.

Sit on the APAC leadership team to help support and drive the regional agenda.

Work closely with cross-functional partners to support our team efforts by communicating our brand vision and campaign ideas to rally support.

Lead a team of marketers across each market to drive exceptional work forward.

Share insights and showcase APAC marketing activity with Snap’s senior leadership team globally to crystalize their understanding of market and customer dynamics. 

Advocate for APAC marketing requirements (budget, resources, headcount etc.) with the global marketing leadership.

What you’ll do, as Head of ANZ (approx. 60% of role)

Lead the ANZ Marketing strategy, focusing on both consumer (B2C) and business (B2B) audiences within the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Create and execute marketing programs which deliver on the strategy and communicate Snap’s value proposition for consumers and businesses via innovative brand campaigns, success stories, thought leadership, partnerships, workshops, and events.

Work with brand, creative and cross-functional teams to create culturally relevant and best-in-class creative, integrated marketing campaigns.

Lead a diverse mix of internal, and external partners to create best-in-class marketing campaigns across a wide range of verticals and disciplines.

Work closely with cross-functional partners to support our team efforts by communicating our brand vision and campaign ideas to rally support.

Partner with other stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including Insights, Creative Strategy, Product Marketing, Comms, Marketing Science, and Sales to ensure our marketing delivers on Snap’s ANZ’s overarching business goals. 

Represent Snap Marketing in leadership forums and key decisions in the market.

Collaborate with other marketing leaders in APAC to build and localize global marketing programs, and share best practices across our portfolio. 

Share insights from our marketing activity in the region with Snap’s senior leadership team in order to crystalize their understanding of market and customer dynamics. 

Measure the effectiveness and ROI of business marketing and ensure it delivers on Snap’s goals in the market.

A multidimensional marketer with a track record of inspiring creative ideas that come to life across a broad ecosystem of marketing channels including paid, organic and earned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Extensive experience in marketing leadership roles

Experience leading teams which operate cross-functionally

Experience in regional or global marketing roles

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Marketing experience at a digital platform, app, or media company
