Job Description

As Head of Accounting Principles & External Reporting (m/f/diverse) you will be the contact for our various internal stakeholders as well as our external auditors and have the responsibility for the Quarterly and Annual Report. In addition, training for the organization is part of your responsibilities.

Your new responsibilities:

Advise and direct internal stakeholders to act in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for external reporting and apply basic accounting principlesExternal reporting e.g. Annual Report including preparation of Financial Statements and coordination for required inputPreparation of the accounting specific parts of the Annual Report and Quarterly Reports Handling of Annual, Quarterly, Monthly and case-related accounting issuesUpdates of the Accounting Guidelines (Financial Reporting Manual) and Definition of Group Accounting PoliciesContinuous monitoring of accounting standards in accordance regarding legal requirements or internal issuesImplementation of new IASB standards Collaboration with group auditors Creation of the Dependency ReportParticipation in projects, in particular M&A projects

 

QualificationsUniversity degree in Economics with a focus on Finance and AccountingProfound professional experience at an accounting firm or in the financial and accounting department of an industrial companyCertified Public Accountant (German Wirtschaftsprüfer) exam recommendedSeveral years of professional experience with creating consolidated financial statements preferably for a globally acting company in a stock-listed environmentProject management experience preferably in the field of accounting (e.g. new IFRS implementation, compliance with regulatory standards etc.)Experience in leading cross-functional global teams as well as natural leaderships skillsBusiness fluent English and German language skills Intercultural sensitivity and very good cross-culture communication and understanding
