\nThe Head Bartender - East 47 is concerned with the efficient and professional service of food and beverages, while ensuring guests receive optimum service in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of the Conrad hotel and Hilton Group.

What will I be doing?
\nAs the Head Bartender - East 47, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\nTo recruit, train, mentor and lead a highly motivated team of professional bartenders\nTo develop and manage a rigorous training program to ensure world-standard staff knowledge of spirits and cocktails, bar service, and hospitality\nTo communicate with other departments to ensure a supporting team of professionals.\nThe ability to communicate with the Chef and Beverage Director to discuss menus, marketing strategies and guest comments and concerns.\nTo deliver world-class service by actively leading the team delivering the guest experience, including bartending regularly and always being onsite during the peak periods.\nTo actively engage with the local and global cocktail communities to raise the local and international profile of the Manhattan Bar\nTo plan and organize resources needed for operation, and assist in the operations, to ensure that guest satisfaction is monitored and where appropriate, rectified throughout their meal experience\nTo complete and conduct performance evaluations for all bar employees.\nTo ensure guest needs and guest expectations are met by providing an efficient and professional service\nTo attend and participate in all required meetings\nTo run a meticulously executed bar program that is capable of securing nominations for local and international awards (I-S Magazine’s annual Reader’s Choice Awards, Drink International, World’s 50 Best Bars and the Spirited Awards at Tales of the Cocktail).\nTo deliver world-class beverages by taking responsibility for beverage menu development, including the main beverage menu, rotating specials, and the cocktail trolley service\nTo effectively manage the Manhattan Bar’s in-house barreling and house-made ingredients, ensuring a top-quality product and effective management of program inventory\nTo actively manage the bartender team and liaise with the kitchen to ensure a consistently exceptional standard of drink and food quality, efficient profitability and creative presentation\nTo actively manage bar service to ensure quick ticket times, seamless guest experience \nTo actively study to stay on top of world cocktail trends and best practices in order to ensure the Manhattan Bar is respected as a world-class program\nResponsible for developing and managing exciting 12-month program of educational and other guest events \nTo actively manage beverage inventory levels, procurement, and par stocks to conserve the hotel’s capital and to deliver an uninterrupted guest experience\nTo work closely with, and follow the direction of, the hotel public relations team to develop the Regent Bar’s local and international profile in traditional and social media\nTo liaise with suppliers and vendors to get the best products at the best possible rate\nWhat are we looking for?

\n\nMotivated and committed, approaching all tasks with enthusiasm and seize opportunities to learn new skills or knowledge in order to improve personal performance.\nFlexible and responds quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested of you.\nMaintain high team focus by showing cooperation and support to colleagues in the pursuit of team goals.\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience in similar position, preferably in a successful cocktail bar with strong beverage program focusing on cocktails\nGood English skills, both written and verbal to meet business needs.\nStrong leadership and training skills.\nOutgoing personality and willing to work for long hours\nThorough knowledge of beverages, bar trends, service, cost control in F&B, labour controls, menu writing, maintenance, merchandising and accounting.\n\nWhat will it be like to work for Hilton?
