**Job Overview**
To manage the departmental operation to meet customer requirements in a cost-effective manner, whilst complying with Company Quality systems, regulatory and statutory Health & Safety requirements and Site Safety Policy. To continuously and effectively coach and develop the department team to provide continuous improvement of business results and individual/team performance. Review, report and provide recommendations to continuously improve departmental performance against key business measures. Ensure consistency of standards, communication, and application of procedures across all shifts. To provide cover as required at Production Management level.
**Work Activities:**
+ Ensure and maintain a safe working environment within the production department through standards, procedures and systems
+ Monitor, identify and implement improvements for departmental safety performances
+ Deliver ongoing improvements to departmental processes and procedures
+ Monitor review and respond to key performance measures to improve asses utilization
+ Manage, coach and develop an effective team to achieve departmental and business objectives whilst maintaining area and site standards
+ Take responsibility for own development to increase personal contribution to the business
+ Lead and facilitate an improvement culture to achieve continuous improvement programmes
+ Provide a link across shift and departments to share information, issues, decisions and best practice
+ Manage spend in line with budgets to ensure cost savings are in control and monitored
+ To lead and influence Technical, Engineering and Quality personnel in both daily operational issues
+ Work with planning closely on developing a production cycle to align with customer demand.
+ Present Daily Go Meetings Host Tier 3 Meetings Input Tier 4 Meetings
+ Drive TEOA improvements throughout the department
+ Resolve daily issues using PIM Processes and escalations
+ Collect data from actuals and implement improvement plans to meet customer

+ A good grounding in people management and communication at all levels along with relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
+ A high calibre professional with exposure and understanding of world-class
+ Have strong organisation & leadership skills

+ Have experience dealing with customers to establish and help define clear requirements
+ Be able to handle complexity and prioritise activities
+ Be enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to work flexibly
