Job Title: Hardware Engineer

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for bringing an indoor asset tracking solution from ideation through prototyping, testing, and production. You will define system specifications, integrate system components, and create and execute test campaigns. This position requires collaboration with operation teams and Joint Development Manufacturers (JDM) to scale the product to hundreds of warehouses.

ResponsibilitiesDefine system specificationsIntegrate system componentsCreate and execute test campaignsCollaborate with operation teams and JDMs to scale the productUnderstand Electrical Engineering fundamentals including Wireless communication and wave propagationDevelop or test Bluetooth and RFID technologiesPerform embedded system programmingUse CAD tools such as Fusion360 and AutocadEssential SkillsElectrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent technical degree2-5 years of relevant experienceStrong fundamentals in analog, digital, and RF circuit designExperience with embedded systems prototyping and implementationStrong knowledge of wireless protocols, particularly Bluetooth and RFID technologiesExperience with PCB design and layoutProficiency in using electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers)Strong mathematical and electromagnetic theory fundamentalsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in requirements gathering from stakeholders and translating to technical specificationsAdditional Skills & QualificationsMaster's degree in electrical engineering or equivalentExperience in RF system design and optimizationProficiency in embedded firmware development (C/C/Python)Experience with low-power design and battery optimizationKnowledge of wireless certification requirements (FCC, CE, etc.)Experience with antenna design and RF propagationFamiliarity with IoT protocols and standardsExperience with signal processing and digital communication systemsTrack record of successful product development from concept to mass productionExperience working with contract manufacturers and managing external partnersKnowledge of EMC/EMI testing and compliance requirementsUnderstanding of mechanical design considerationsFamiliarity with test methodologies such as Design of Experiment and statistical analysisWork Environment

The role involves working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, utilizing electronic test equipment and CAD tools. You will be expected to work independently with strong organizational skills, and occasionally travel to collaborate with external partners and manufacturers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
