Hardware Engineer Level 3 Location: Liverpool, NY Job ID: #70419 12 month contract SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED Pay Range: $65-80 THE WORK - Lead a Hardware Engineering team of up to 6 engineers. - Provide the technical and programmatic leadership for hardware design and support teams. - Ensure adequate trade studies, architectures, technical analysis, common hardware solutions, quality of products, and proper engineering process and methodology are followed. - Work with First Line Managers to properly staff programs. - Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead/interact with a cross functional team. Will interact directly with various internal/external customers to work through technical issues, program planning, and field support. - Provide Earned Value updates as the program Cost Account Manager for all hardware engineering work packages. WHO YOU ARE Your day-to-day workload will consist of direct support of program execution and/or proposal support across the portfolio of products and proposals. Basic Qualifications : - Candidate must possess a BS and/or MS in an engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Computer Engineering). - 14+ years of detailed HW development experience. -CREO -Active Secret Security clearance. Desired skills : - Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work with minimal day to day supervision. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to comprehend and work successfully with complex systems. - Lead small groups of teams for technical execution on programs, and ability to work with program/functional management to meet objectives of entire program. - Cross-Functional or Integrated Product team leadership experience. - Cost Account management experience. - Knowledge of Earned Value Management and tracking practices. - Basis of Estimate (BOE) and proposal experience.
