Hardware Engineer
Sr. Hardware Engineer Job Description As a Sr. Hardware Engineer, you will provide electronics technical expertise in various areas relating to the design, production, and sustainment of electronic products. Responsibilities + Provide technical expertise for component-related issues, including alternate component selection for obsolescence issues and assisting with process issues. + Guide technicians with the testing and debugging of products. + Design for EMI/EMC compliance. + Provide technical reports and communications to team members. + Redesign PCBA components considering value engineering. + Familiarize with PCBA components and market commodities to identify standard parts and assess material suitability. + Reduce material costs. Essential Skills + Four-year degree in electrical/electronic engineering or demonstrated equivalent experience. + Minimum of 4 years of experience related to electronics design at the PCB level. + Ability to understand PCB component-level schematics. + Proficiency in using standard test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes to troubleshoot PCBs to the component level. + Understanding of application and critical characteristics of typical electronics components including resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, digital logic microcontrollers and processors, linear and switching regulators, ADCs, etc. + Good written and verbal communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Embedded systems hardware design experience. + Strong communication and problem-solving skills. + Experience in automotive type electronics.
