Ford Motor Company is seeking a skilled Root Cause Analysis Engineer to serve as our expert troubleshooter for our in-house electronic modules. These critical systems—including Gateway, Telematics, and Accessory Protocol Interface modules—form the backbone of our vehicles' electronic architecture, controlling everything from connectivity to safety features. As vehicles become increasingly sophisticated, identifying and resolving electronic issues quickly is essential to maintaining Ford's reputation for quality.

In this pivotal role, you'll guide our Build To Print Suppliers through complex failure investigations, analyze data patterns, and implement permanent solutions. Your expertise will directly impact vehicle quality by driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring lessons learned are incorporated into future designs. By bridging the gap between current performance and future innovation, you'll help Ford deliver the exceptional quality our customers expect while shaping the electronic systems of tomorrow.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Post-Secondary education in Electrical Engineering (minimum 2-year college diploma) or a related field of study (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained.  If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required). 3+ years of Electrical and/or Product Engineering experience in a high-volume electronics manufacturing facility

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with 5D/8D and various RCCA methods Excellent hardware and software debugging skills (Hands on and Remote) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Detailed understanding of various technologies such as CAN, Automotive Ethernet, Audio, Displays and Cameras, Cellular/WiFi/BT RF Knowledge of chip programming and software download into electronic modules Knowledge of SMT processes Experience with Jira Good verbal and written communication skills Motivated self-starter
