Responsibilities\:
The duties and responsibilities of the Hardware Asset Manager include, but are not limited to, the following\:
Ensure the ongoing effectiveness and optimization of asset management strategies, processes, and systems, while continuously evaluating and improving their efficiency and alignment with organizational goals Enhance, oversee, and manage the complete hardware lifecycle for supported networks, focusing on continuous improvements, effective maintenance, and optimal performance at every stage of the hardware’s lifespan Oversee and execute Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) tasks while collaborating closely with the agency’s SCRM team to identify, assess, and mitigate risks effectively Identify active assets and their End of Service Life, and manage the coordination of their proper disposition and removal from service Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and reporting dashboards, while also utilizing data analysis to track performance and inform decision-making Manage both internal and external Hardware Asset Management audits, including those conducted by manufacturers and regulators, ensuring compliance and accuracy throughout the process Make business process improvement recommendations by performing analysis and drafting possible solutions for future state enhancements and implementation steps Translate complex concepts and policy into plain-language business operation documentation for internal and external stakeholders; maintain up-to-date work instructions Build queries, reports, and dashboards in ServiceNow and interpret such data to inform business decisions Establish and build relationships with other ITIL process owners, applicable tool owners and stakeholders to understand business objectives, data structure, and how configuration management databases (CMDB) and Asset Management processes will best support the enterprise and process specific objectives Assist with formulating strategic roadmap and the daily end-to-end hardware asset management services in accordance with the IT Asset Management (ITAM) policies Establish exception reporting and procedures to investigate root cause and coordinate remediation. Influence change management efforts across all phases of projects and initiatives to drive the culture of continuous improvement Brief leadership on an as needed basis the status of Hardware Assets and their Lifecycle status. Assist in managing and overseeing the maintenance of the Approved Master Parts List (AMPL), ensuring that it remains up-to-date, well-organized, and accurate at all times Support procurement initiatives for the ongoing maintenance and management of hardware assets Manage and coordinate the resolution of RMA and warranty-related issues by working closely with both external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective solutions *Your Impact\:
