**Boeing Defense, Space and Security** (BDS) is looking for a **Hardware and Software Integration Product Team (IPT) Leader** (Level M) for **B-52J Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP)** . This position is located **Oklahoma City, OK** .
B-52J CERP is a large-scale development program within Boeing Defense Space & Security on contract through System CDR, scheduled for 3Q 2025, EMD award planned for 2025 with Period of Performance through 2033. With the planned sun-setting of B-1 and B-2 Bomber fleets, USAF considers B-52J development among its highest priorities and will stand with the B-21 as the two bombers of the USAF structure for 2050 and beyond.
The Program development scope is replacing the legacy TF33 engines with a new Rolls-Royce F130 commercial engine, as well as upgrades to the electrical power subsystem, new flight computer processor, modified structural support and nacelle, environmental system upgrades, new internal air starter unit for engines, new hydraulic pumps, new advanced cockpit displays, stand-up of 4 new subsystem hardware, software, integration development labs, significant software development through Ground Test and Flight Test certification, culminating with final Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) completion of two aircraft.
The CERP Hardware/Software IPT leader will provide critical leadership interfaces to the B-52J Government Customer located at Tinker AFB and senior leadership within the Bombers B-52J/B-1 Development business, reporting to the Program Director of B-52J CERP.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Responsible for leading, executing, and delivery; including managing technical, schedule, cost, risk, issues, and opportunities.
+ Design, develop and customize software applications to meet aircraft operational requirements and military certification of Data Concentrator Units (DCUs) and their integration with the Multi-Functional Displays (MFDs) and other interfacing systems.
+ Responsible for system integration testing to validate functionality, performance, reliability, identifying and resolving any issues that arise during integration.
+ Work closely with engineers, pilots and system owners across IPTs to collaborate on requirements, understand operational needs and ensure software solutions that meet customer needs.
+ Develop and manage software delivery plans that address the needs of multiple labs, aircraft modification, and both ground test and flight test operations.
+ Drives high first-time quality, on-time milestone completion, and disciplined baseline controls.
+ Responsible for RIO effectiveness within IPT and overall PM best practice adherence.
+ Maintains leading indicating healthy performance to plan metrics and dashboards.
+ Accountable for timely reconciliation of issues and help needed within and across program functions and IPTs.
**This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.**
**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**
+ Bachelor’s Degree or higher or equivalent work experience
+ 10+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions, or initiatives
+ 5+ years of experience in program management of technical programs for aerospace or other engineering business areas
+ 3+ years of experience in a management role working with both direct reports and business unit leaders
+ 3+ years of experience with RIO (Risks, Issues and Opportunities) processes and tools
+ 3+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
+ Adaptable problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
+ Lead by influence.
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ 15+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions, or initiatives
+ 10+ years of experience managing risks, cost performance and schedule performance
+ 10+ years of experience in program management of technical programs for aerospace or other engineering business areas
+ Hardware and Software military certification experience
+ Experience with lab and flight test software integration
+ Knowledge in overall Aerospace Systems with emphasis Hardware/Software integration.
+ Experience with defense related programs.
+ Strong business and technical acumen and relationship skills needed to build partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
+ Inspirational leadership and communication skills.
+ Detailed knowledge of Enterprise functions supporting the programs.
+ Ability to effectively interface with all levels of customer and Boeing leadership.
+ Knowledge in overall Aerospace Systems with emphasis on Propulsion, Power/Electrical, Hardware/Software integration.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for $167,450 - $226,550
