Activities Management
•Lead, monitor and implement the company’s H3SE policies, procedures, and program.•Develop and implement the TERSA H3SE objectives, plans and procedures, in compliance with One MAESTRO and Company Rules, applicable local legislation, applicable International Standards and regulations and Best Industry Practices.•Develop, implement, and manage H3SE initiatives, both local and company related.•Ensure proper H3SE training of company staff, organize H3SE events such as World Day for Safety & Environment.•Guide and advise TERSA Management on changes to H3SE legislation and the impact on the organization.•Manage continuous improvement of the TERSA H3SE Management Systems and improve the safety culture within the organization.•Collect relevant information and report H3SE data.•Ensure all legislatively required licenses, permits, surveys and reports are initiated, audited, valid and compliance monitored.•Conduct internal H3SE system audits and advising on improvements to ensure One Maestro requirements are effectively implemented.•Ensure that Level 3+ and HIPO accidents/incidents are investigated, evaluated and results reported on a regular basis to management and the company.•Provide comprehensive statistical trend analysis of the H3SE events and KPI’s.•Ensure the development and dissemination of REX’s and the implementation of mitigation measures thereof.•Recommend suspension of operational activities, where justified, in consultation with Business•Evaluate contractual agreements undertaken by TERSA to ensure potential liability is minimized.•Develop, implement, and manage a contractor management system that meets company, local and best practice requirements and ensures improved contractor performance and safety culture.•Manage TERSA’s Crisis Management Process including training, drills, ERP development and approval and equipping of the CMT room.•Manage legal appointments in relation to Safety and the OHS Act.•Contribute to the achievement of the H3SE roadmap.
Projects, Operations & Maintenance
•Perform environmental screening of projects at early stage of development or due diligence.•Supervise ESIA studies, guide business teams in populating the CORISK matrix for top management approval.•Ensure compliance by all project contractors to relevant legislation and Group H3SE requirements, with the full support of project managers.•Identify potential hazards & recommend solutions at all stages of projects, including design review.•Assist Project Managers to implement improvement & sanction notices (where necessary) to contractors and set up recommendation & corrective action.•Interface with JV partners to bridge H3SE management systems together and accompany JVs towards H3SE excellence in execution of projects.•Support the project execution teams with understanding and managing risks in projects & operations.•Conduct frequent and regular inspections of both construction sites and maintenance operations to check compliance to H3SE plan and procedures.•Monitor implementation of environmental mitigation measures during construction and O&M phases.
