H&B Compliance & Audit Associate

In this role you will assist in consulting with clients on a wide array of health and welfare compliance issues. You will work closely with experienced compliance and audit team members, as well as local client service teams to develop and deliver compliant health and welfare solutions to clients.

Performance Objectives:

Financial

Partner with Compliance & Audit senior colleagues to support the delivery of Compliance solutions and services to clients.

Clients

As a junior colleague, you will support multiple client projects involving federal health and welfare benefit plan design and strategy compliance issues You will draft quality client deliverables to be reviewed and delivered by mid and senior level colleagues  You will partner with client service teams to become a trusted advisor for clients  You will research various health and welfare compliance and tax issues and draft client facing responses to be reviewed by mid and senior colleagues with the goal of being able to move into drafting final responses requiring little or no review. You will support mid and senior colleagues, as appropriate in presenting at client meetings and presentations    You will participate in compliance assessments and benefits administration/process improvement reviews

 Excellence

You will work towards becoming a subject matter expert on health and welfare laws and regulations You will have all work, as needed, reviewed by mid and senior level colleagues You will contribute to the development of new tools and approaches related to compliance consulting

Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams

The Requirements 

Juris Doctorate or at least 1-3 years of relevant experience within employee benefitsProven experience and success in employee health and welfare benefit consulting with a focus on compliance.  Prior experience in a professional services firm, insurance company or legal environment preferredFoundational to intermediate knowledge of IRC, ERISA, COBRA, PPACA, MHPAEA, FMLA, HIPAA and other relevant laws and regulations affecting employee benefit plans is preferred.Experience in working on multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budgetProven ability to recognize and diagnose issues, work in teams, and leverage the resources of other related practices to address client challengesThis is a Remote opportunity

Compensation and Benefits 

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only). 

Compensation 

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $75,000-$85,000 USD per year. 

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus
