The Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) team is made up of enthusiastic and talented individuals that design and produce the hardware, algorithms, and software required to solve the challenging problems of controlling these systems. This position reports to the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Products Manager within the GNC Talent Center organization. The role specifically is for a GNC hardware engineer on the Next Gen Interceptor (NGI) program. The position must be capable of performing Material Review Boards, Failure Review Board, Critical Design Reviews, Qualification Review Boards, Design and testing oversight of hardware throughout design lifecycle. Focus will be on Inertial Measurement Units and Star Trackers but could develop into other product areas.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or other related engineering degree.

Some knowledge of knowledge of some GNC hardware products, GNC systems, GNC operations, and/or electronics.

Willingness to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Desired Skills:
Currently possess an active Secret Clearance

Experience working with hardware development, including build, test, and integration.

Experience with GNC or Avionics hardware

Experience leading hardware build, test, and integration efforts

Previous experience presenting to senior management, as well as, customer team members.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
