One World Observatory is positioned at the top of One World Trade Center—the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere—on levels 100, 101, and 102, One World Observatory provides guests with unique, panoramic views of New York City, its most iconic sites, and surrounding waters from 1,250 feet. THE ROLE
The Guest Services Ambassador plays an integral role in providing guests with unique, memorable experiences. The position requires maintaining the guest services desk and ensuring a welcoming and engaged environment. The guest services desk is the focal point for disseminating information and is vital for the success of the daily operation. The role reports to the Senior Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide a high level of customer service in-person and via phone by engaging guests, answering questions, resolving issues and providing excellent and elevated service Provide general information on major landmarks and attractions Assist guests with the processing of ticket orders and/or the purchasing private tour experiences Retain learned knowledge and offer assistance to guests by providing operational answers to all inquiries Motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to engage guests and work in a highly busy, interactive environment Ability to perform and present information in a concise, legible manner to guests – speaking loudly and clearly and with a commanding presence Ensure the safety of guests while they are on tour or in assigned areas Work non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays) as necessary Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training Performs other duties as necessary or required by managementQUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty, outlined above, at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Minimum of one-year experience in guest services or a similar field (preferably in attractions, entertainment, hospitality) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Prior experience using point-of-sale systems High level of demonstrated professionalism and customer service/care Ability to memorize historical and technical information Multi-lingual and/or sign language capabilities are a plus Energetic and outgoing with a creative, and a proactive approach to teamworkCOMPENSATION
