About the Role
The Grower Relations Representative is responsible for sourcing, negotiating and procurement of grapes of the required type, grade and price from third parties under the business requirements. They are accountable for ensuring purchased grapes are grown to specification, the orderly delivery of grower fruit and management of grower contracts for their region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Source and negotiate the purchase of grapes of the required type, grade and price Responsible for business relations and the communications with growers, aligned with TWE’s business ambitions Negotiate amendments to growers agreements, in accordance with short term and long term grape requirements Monitor grower performance and maintain grower records, including a minimum of 4 field assessments throughout the growing season utilizing the vineyard information system. Develop annual farm plan with growers and winemakers and ensure adherence to plan. Participate in annual grower feedback meetings. Initiate, update and verify crop estimates from growers in accordance to the vineyard activity calendar. Monitor ripening patterns and estimate growers picking schedule. Conduct and record field inspections with winemakers for final field grading to ensure maximum end use potential of fruit and efficient batching and streaming of fruit deliveries during vintage. Interact with intake coordinator to formulate intake of grower deliveries and ensure conformity to schedules and bookings. Ensure chemical usage records are supplied and fruit complies with TWE and government standards before delivery is received. Ensure grape quality standards are met and that the documentation of grower deliveries is correct. Resolve any quality standards issues at time of harvest and delivery of fruit. Liaise with Technical Viticulture team on technical matters including grape quality standards, variety and clonal evaluation, chemical usage, vineyard practices and crop forecasting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in or currently enrolled in Enology, Viticulture, or related field is desired but not required. 3 years of experience in wine, agricultural, food and beverage or related industry Demonstrated ability to influence and work effectively with others, including internal and external partners Demonstrated ability to prepare, execute and engage in successful negotiations with internal and external stakeholders Demonstrated ability to proactively manage conflicting priorities of a large organization Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Power BI experience a plus

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $69,000 to $86,000 per year. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of Central Coast, CA. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
