What you’ll be doing?

As Groups, Meetings & Events Sales Manager you are responsible for overseeing the Commercial team working with the Hotel to achieve pre-established goals. Responsible for maximizing sales for groups and events to remain a hotel leader in the marketplace.

\n\nMaximise all Group, Conference, and Event revenue opportunities\nManage the commercial team to achieve planned and forecasted revenues and the department’s Key Performance Indicators.\nEnsure the Reservations and GCE Sales Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contract\nAnswer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner\nManage team members performance in compliance with company policies and procedures\nRecruit, manage, train and develop the Sales & Reservations team\n

What are we looking for?

The successful candidate will be client and guest focused and will collaborate with the hotel team to drive the sales success of the hotel by building and maintaining excellent relationships across the Corporate, Travel and Catering functions.

\n\nRecent experience in a similar position\nStrong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance and exceed targets\nExcellent selling capability and an ability and desire to coach selling techniques to their team\nCommitment to delivering a high level of customer service\nA positive can-do attitude and excellent communication skills\nThe flexibility to respond to a range of different situations\nThe drive and ability to work under pressure using your creativity, tenacity and initiative\n\n
