The Group Sourcing & Commodity Manager will develop, coordinate, and manage Group wide commodity strategies with the active engagement and support of key division stakeholders. This position will act as the lead for all group wide negotiations with common partnership supplier agreements. Does Not Have Direct Reports. This position can be located at any Parker Aerospace domestic site. In coordination with our corporate initiatives, develop and deploy a comprehensive Group wide supplier commodity strategy that supports business goals including supplier coordination and consolidation, process standardization and material cost reductions. Ensures that all key stakeholders are actively involved in the solicitation and negotiation and award process. Leads and coordinates all Group wide negotiation activities and ensures that all contract terms and unique customer flow down requirements are incorporated and linked to quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement objectives. Develops and deploys cost models to ensure total cost of ownership are considered and incorporated into the purchase agreements. Maintains continuous, in-depth knowledge of market conditions, industry trends and developing technologies related to key commodities of purchase. Ten or more years of strategic sourcing experience with complex fabrications, complex mechanical and electrical assemblies including major, industry-specific subcontracting experience with significant budgetary and business performance impact. Prior management and project team leadership preferred. Four-year college degree in business, engineering or supply management required. MBA degree and Certificate in Purchasing Management (CPM) or Contracts Management preferred. Functional understanding of cost accounting and adapt to practical application. May require knowledge of complex regulatory requirements related to government procurement or similar commercial or industry requirements (e.g., FAA). Demonstrated analytical and technical skills to understand business practices and apply to work practices. Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively coordinate and manage cross organizational needs and priorities and influence key decisions.
