WE LOVE OUR WORK. Manages sales team to include supervision, training, coaching, work assignments, and performance documentation.Initiate and develop future business by taking inquiry calls, identifying potential leads, and actively soliciting future business within designated specific markets.Initiate, meet and conduct walk-throughs with all team members/meeting planner/clients to plan details of event, and offer upgrades in service, A/V components or creative suggestions for the guests to maximize revenues and create a quality guest experience.Initiate and manage all the contract details and secure deposits from clients. Give instructions to operation team on convention execution.Conduct detailed in-depth (when appropriate) site tours of the facility for travel agents, group customers, meeting planners, brides etc. to secure future business or create positive word of mouth recommendations about the facility.Negotiate and quote rates and agreements on all Conference Center and Hotel business to maximize revenues for the Conference Center, Hotel, and the Casino. This involves detailed, customized follow-up to ensure a smooth transition from arrival to departure of guests.Work very closely with the Banquet Manager to ensure that room set-ups are available for tours, as well as to ensure events are properly set-up as specified by the client.Makes personal sales calls and travels to trade shows to produce leads for future business or to maintain good relationships with current clientele.Increase awareness of our product through membership, attendance and participation in various travel and trade shows which may include after-hours and overnight travel.Aggressively solicit the corporate, SMERF, tour & travel and social market segments in the region for Denver Metro/Black HawkMust understand the importance of yielding business to choose and target the most profitable sales opportunities based on day of the week, pattern, and seasonality.Monitor, track, and produce daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly productivity and revenue reports for all Conference Center and Hotel events. Maintain the integrity of the client database. Maintain the calendar for all Conference Center events and ensure efficient scheduling with no conflicts.Maintain knowledge of competitor’s sales and convention programs, including reader board monitoring at area hotels and convention centers, to generate future leads and to be aware of the caliber of service delivered to our competitors.Maintain knowledge of all promotions throughout the property to stimulate and retain new business. Maintain communication and rapport with customers to ensure the utmost quality customer satisfaction.Always maintain a positive professional image.Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by the Director of Hotel Operations
