Job Title: Group Leader Medium & Large Reports To: Dept Supervisor

Department/Area: Medium & Large Grade: 3

Shift: 1st (6:30am-3:00pm)

$25.65 an hour

 

JOB SUMMARY  

The  group leader is responsible for leading the Medium Assembly  team by coordinating and scheduling all parts needed to get produced according to the schedule. Communicate any issues or concerns to department leadership, work with Quality to resolve any issues or concerns that arise and communicate and coordinate with other departments to prioritize what is needed to make them successful.  

 

JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Other duties may be assigned):

Responsible for delivering safety, quality, delivery and cost metrics for assigned areas 

Perform safety/CAL investigations and report on findings and countermeasures

Execute standard work development and audits

Communicate key issues and provide day-to-day coaching of operators

Act as the first step in the help chain

Focus on continuous improvement

Provide daily documentation of key metrics and information

 Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on occasion

Successfully implement WCM Methodologies (Tags, improvement ideas, Quick Kaizen, SOP, OPL  creation and adherence)

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma/GED

1+ years previous leadership experience

At least 18 years old

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to reinforce accountability and ownership through improved employee relations

Understanding of lean tools and the continuous improvement effort, problem solving and standardized work

Ability to plan, organize and schedule multiple processes to meet demand

Ability to lead by example and make timely business decisions

Continuing education or other form of leadership development is recommended

Proficient with technology (SAP, Google, ADP, Kronos)
