Group IT Governance, Risk and Compliance Manager

Sappi’s Information Technology (IT) team is driving operational excellence, security resilience and digital innovation at scale across all diverse businesses.  Covering all aspects from IT strategy, people, process, solution and governance, the team enables Sappi to streamline operations, enhance customer experience and maximize the productivity and engagement of employees through state of the art technologies to ensure all divisions are fit for a long term sustainable and thriving future.

The Governance, Risk and Compliance function forms part of the Shared Service domain team.  Through collaboration and exploring opportunities in a structured manner, the GRC function helps ensure Sappi’s operational resilience in light of an evolving risk landscape. 

 

Role and responsibilities:

In this role you will report to the Group CIO (based in Portland, Maine USA). 

You will be responsible for: 

You will Lead Sappi IT’s GRC discipline and coordinate actions to assess, manage and mitigate risks to efficient, reliable, sustainable and secure operations across all IT service domains.

You will assess new capabilities and define GRC global strategy and with approval ensure progress toward GRC objectives in alignment with Sappi vision and strategy

You will support the global governance, risk and compliance framework through facilitation of and close collaboration with the Global IT Leadership Team (GITCO).

You will align with business stakeholders regionally and globally to ensure that the current and future business needs of this process are met in a timely and cos effective way.

 

Required qualifications: 

A University degree (Bachelors, Masters degree), preferably in Information Technology or related fields

You have 5 to 8 years of applied GRC experience

You are proficient in English language

 

Good to have

Knowledge of German language

 

Location:

This job can be located in Gratkorn, Austria or Brussels, Belgium or Johannesburg, South Africa or Portland, Maine USA. 

 

Traveling:

It is expected to have some traveling (up to 10%) to the locations of group.
