The Global Business Development team is responsible for global new business across the Groupe. While the primary focus of the Business Development team is successfully leading and converting new business pitches, the Group Director partners with key stakeholders to drive success in new business conversion. You will have an outstanding track record in project management and managing multiple stakeholders.  You will need proven collaborative skills with the ability to connect with multiple teams across brands, geographies and practices.  You will thrive in a fast paced and agile environment.

Job Description

PRODUCE WINNING WORK

Full accountability for a first-class pitch management process from kick-off to post-pitch contact strategy on significant global or multi-market pitches ($5m+ revenue)Elevate the strategic proposition and commercial offering, highlighting the Groupe capabilities that align with our Groupe propositionAdd strategic value at each stage of the pitch process; able to effectively evaluate content across media, data and tech, and creativeKnow the changing advertising agency landscape, identifying our competitors’ points of difference (and their weaknesses)Provide strategic consultation and guidance to Local Market Business Development teams running pitches that fall in the Consult Tier

LEAD TEAMS

Lead large-scale new business pitches: casting and guiding cross-functional teams, building strategies to win and pinpointing any barriers to overcomeSupport and motivate pitch winning teams through high stress, demanding processes, so new business is something people WANT to be part ofFoster collaborative relationships across Publicis Groupe agency brand and practices to ensure a consistent strategy is deployed on pitchesKnow, select, engage and deploy the best fit teams from across the Groupe to deliver on the client challengeProvide support for Local Market Business Development teams running pitches that fall in the Consult Tier

DESIGNING, ACTIVATING AND OWNING THE PITCH DELIVERY PLAN

Full accountability for a first-class pitch management process from kick-off to post-pitch contact strategyManage flow of communication, including collection and distribution of information from client teams + intermediaries with pitch teams and senior managementLead with a robust understanding of all aspects of the Groupe, from media/creative planning, data, tech, tools and commercials

CLOSE COLLABORATION

Closely collaborate across the Publicis Groupe to unlock Power of One opportunities and ensure a consistent, winning strategy is deployed across all pitchesEnsure accountability across key pitch stakeholders to meet deadlines and deliverablesResponsible for accurate and timely entry of pitch details in Publicis Groupe's Central Repository (via Salesforce)

Qualifications8+ years of media, creative, PR planning/strategy, integrated marketing, or similar experience, background in business development in other verticals with cross-over skillsSelf-starter who is curious and proactively thinks around cornersA natural-born planner, with excellent attention to detail and a passion for organising process and peopleAbility to perform in a fast paced and changing environment, under pressure to deadlineBelieves no ask is too big and no detail too smallProven ability to guide cross-functional teams to a common visionA relentless competitive nature and hunger to win
