We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist

In this role you will:

Group AI Management and Strategy (AIMS) team is responsible for developing and implementing Group-wide strategic programs across HSBC aimed at accelerating the commercialisation and delivery of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) across HSBC. Key areas of focus include responsible development practices, common platforms and capabilities, AI technology enablement, governance, and the Group-wide AI Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Use Case Inventory Management:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of AI use cases across the bank, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation of each initiative.
Collaborate with various teams to capture relevant details about each use case, including objectives, stakeholders, and development status.
Monitoring and Controls:
Establish and implement robust controls to ensure the systematic capturing and monitoring of all AI use cases throughout their development lifecycle.
Conduct regular audits and reviews of the inventory to ensure compliance with governance standards and best practices.
Performance Analytics:
Perform detailed analytics on AI use cases to assess their alignment with strategic objectives.
Analyze data related to the development lifecycle of AI initiatives, identifying trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Reporting and Insights:
Prepare and present regular reports on the status and performance of AI use cases to stakeholders, including senior management and the AIMS team.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on analytical findings to support decision-making and enhance AI initiatives.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technology, business units, and compliance, to ensure alignment and transparency regarding AI use cases.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather information, provide updates, and address any inquiries related to the AI inventory.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in AI governance and analytics to enhance the effectiveness of the inventory management process.
Contribute to the development of tools and methodologies that improve the capturing and analysis of AI use cases.

Qualifications – External

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

12 years’ experience In IT and5 years of experience in data analytics, project management, or a related role, preferably within the financial services or technology sectors.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, SQL, data visualization software).Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their applications in a business context is a plus.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

In-depth knowledge and understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies.

Familiarity with Big Data Technologies and distributed computing frameworks to leverage these technologies for processing and analysing large datasets.

Awareness of Cybersecurity and Data Privacy threats, and the ability to implement robust security measures to protect sensitive financial data and AI systems.

Understanding the legal and regulatory requirements applicable to the financial services industry, such as GDPR, Data Sharing, CCPA, or specific financial regulations
