This role will also be responsible for performing minor repairs, routine maintenance of basic equipment, as well as maintenance on buildings, grounds and aquatic centers. Essential Duties + Maintaining natural turf and synthetic turf athletic fields + Maintaining baseball infield, such as dragging infields, changing home plates, and base anchors + Operating the irrigation systems and performing minor repairs + Maintaining passive areas + Operating tractors and commercial zero turn mowers + Operating small engine equipment such as backpack blowers, edgers and string trimmers + Inspecting Park assets including playgrounds for safety standards + Applying the herbicides, fertilizers, pre-emergents, post-emergents, playground mulch, and mulching islands + Performing equipment preventative maintenance + Maintaining and repairing chain link fencing and gates Public Speaking Duties + Interacting with Youth Athletic Associations and park users + Reporting incidents following proper chain of command + Providing maintenance reports Other Job Requirements/Information + This job may require on call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends and/or holidays Grade + Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
