Summary/Objective Responsible for keeping production hoppers and skids clear at a pace that meets production demands. Responsible for recycling, to reduce waste. Responsible for campus clean-up efforts. All Maintenance positions support operations and production first, whenever necessary. Essential Functions Baling –Responsible for collecting and baling cardboard and plastic for recycling Paper – Responsible for collecting paper from production offices for recycling Hoppers – Responsible for keeping hoppers empty for production Steel – Responsible for recycling scrap steel, banding, etc. Skids – Responsible for collecting, sorting, and returning skids around the campus Clean Up – Able to assist, as necessary, in campus clean-up efforts Light Maintenance – Willing to assist, as requested, in small upkeep tasks Competencies Highly motivated, self-starters preferred Required to use honesty, integrity, and candor with the entire Maintenance team to create trust, and to support their passion for winning Committed to a maintaining positive attitude and caring about people Must be reliable and prompt Supervisory Responsibility This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active – while performing this job the employee is regularly standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. In addition, the employee may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are based upon the need to support operations and production. Some Saturdays will be mandatory. Travel No travel will be required. Required Education and Experience Must successfully complete LCI new hire safety training and refreshers Must be able to successfully pass the LCI OSHA approved forklift-training course Must successfully complete LCI Lock Out Tag Out Training, as required Must successfully complete LCI Confined Space Training, as required Must successfully complete all LCI lean training, as required Preferred Education and Experience Fork Lifts – Experience safely and proficiently operating fork trucks High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
