**Description** **GROUND BEEF MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN** Salaried Non Exempt Maintenance Plainwell **DESCRIPTION** _Position at JBS Plainwell, MI_ JBS is hiring for quality, motivated, people to join the JBS team on our production floor as maintenance mechanic/electrician. These positions include but are not limited to the following duties: **MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN** Repairs and maintains electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Include the following (other duties may be assigned): + MUST follow company safety policies with no exceptions. + Perform all Predictive Maintenance scheduled for them on their shift. + MUST complete monthly training module assigned to them. + Maintain shop 6S policies and cleanliness. + Construct, maintain and test mechanical equipment, machinery and components. + Identify parts or machines needing new or replacement parts. + Communicate with production management and personnel to diagnose problems and to determine potential mechanical problems. + Respond to requests by production area when mechanical issues + Interpret drawings of equipment in order to properly adjust, maintain or repair machinery. + Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency, in regards to time as well as resources. + Communicate with their supervisors on findings during the troubleshooting of any equipment. + Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and practices used in the building, mechanical and/or electrical trades. + Monitor all production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery. + Able to navigate and/or modify equipment settings/recipes to help improve production efficiencies. + Goal oriented and possess root cause analysis skills. + Work 40+ hours per week in all areas of the plant. + Tends to other duties as needed. **QUALIFICATIONS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
