**Job Title: Grinder Operator** **Job Description** Join our fabrication department as a Grinder Operator, where you will play a crucial role in smoothing out newly welded parts using a small handheld grinding tool. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is willing to work hard, with no prior experience needed as training will be provided. This role offers competitive entry-level pay and ample opportunities for overtime. **Responsibilities** + Remove all weld spatter + Smooth metals correctly to ensure paint adhesion + Use a handheld grinder + Move materials as needed + Wear protective PPE to safeguard eyes, arms, and body from sparks while grinding **Essential Skills** + Mechanical skills + Mechanical assembly + Experience with grinders and grinding tools + Metal fabrication and finishing + General labor skills + Proficiency with hand and power tools + Ability to operate small electric grinding tools + Effective communication skills **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 6 months of fabrication experience - grinding preferred + No more than 3 jobs in 18 months + Mechanically inclined with a good work history, even if not in manufacturing **Why Work Here?** Enjoy the benefits of working with a supportive team where you will have access to a state-of-the-art gym. The grinding area consists of a small team of 4-6 people, emphasizing the importance of teamwork while allowing for independent work. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
