We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating various materials with precision, ensuring high-quality results. This position requires strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints or specifications.
Work Experience
Key Responsibilities:
Perform TIG welding on various metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys, ensuring welds meet quality and safety standards.Interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine welding requirements.Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, and positioning as needed.Conduct inspections of welds to ensure structural soundness and conformance to specifications.Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and machinery.Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Perform post-weld tasks, such as grinding, polishing, or finishing to achieve the desired outcome.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to welding processes and equipment.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a TIG Welder or similar role.Proficiency in TIG welding techniques with a strong understanding of metallurgy.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Familiarity with welding codes, standards, and safety guidelines.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Physical stamina and dexterity to handle welding tasks.Certification in TIG welding (preferred but not required).Basic knowledge of other welding methods (e.g., MIG, Stick) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
Work may involve exposure to heat, sparks, and fumes in a manufacturing or construction environment.
May require lifting heavy materials and working in various positions (standing, kneeling, crouching).
