Posting Details Position Information Job Title Green Representative - Spring 2025 Department Facilities Management Office Job Description/Duties Job Description Promote campus sustainability amongst the student body Increase student engagement and community building related to sustainability and sustainable practices Increase environmental behaviors on campus Planning and running programming events centered around sustainability and sustainable actions / topics Posters/displays in residence halls/other communication platforms (i.e. social media, newsletter, etc.)
Job Expectations Biweekly Green Rep meeting Work 10 hours a week – portion of work expectation is attending group/committee meetings and working independently or in smaller groups. Hold environmentally focused programs (minimum of 2/semester) Assist with larger campus-wide Green Rep sponsored Sustainability Event Self-select to be part of a Green Rep Sustainability Sub-Committees (Campus-Wide Events, Communications, Operations) Attend training sessions (2/semester – minimum, additional 1 initial training for new Green Reps) Days/Hours Needed 10 hours a week Campus Location/Bldg. Sustainability Office – Cornish Hall, Room 1314 & Service Group Meeting Required Qualifications When applying, hired and working, you must be a SUNY Cortland student. Effective communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Ability to see project through to completion Ability to learn information about environmental topics and relate information to your peers
Preferred Qualifications When applying, hired and working you must be living on SUNY Cortland’s campus in one of the residence halls.
