 Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide graphic designer support services to a U.S. Federal Government customerProvide support in updating and developing visual communications artifacts using the most current graphic design methods and standards.Participate and assist in creating, designing, and managing several communications projects that inform senior-level leaders within VA, colleagues, and with external customers.Provide copywriting, technical writing, proofing, editing, social media content creation, basic data analysis, graphic design, visual design, and video editing services.Create visual concepts by hand or using computer applications to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate an audience.Plan, design, and produce graphic exhibits, including artistic considerations using technical knowledge and skills in both physical and electronic form.Design for a variety of products and activities, including website, advertisements, books, posters, product packaging, exhibitions, magazines, pamphlets, and displays.Design corporate communications and corporate identity (such as award programs, summits, and meetings) that require the organization’s visual brand. Required Skills and ExperienceMust possess exceptional customer service, communication and interpersonal skillsExceptionally skilled at juggling multiple tasks, allocating and optimizing resources, and managing timelines.A demonstrated ability to interact effectively and appropriately with senior-level government professionals, department heads, committees, volunteers, and other executive staff.Strong interpersonal skills.Strong Microsoft (MS) Office Suite skills and experience.Previous video editing and graphic animation experience.Professional CertificationsNoneYears of Professional Experience2+ years’ experienceDesired experiencePrevious federal government experience strongly preferredFormal EducationBA/BS degreeCitizenship RequirementU.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunitySecurity Clearance RequirementsMust possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI)CRITICAL NOTES: SSG will not make assumptions regarding your qualifications.
