Graphic Design Intern
Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Graphic Designer to join the Creative Services team. This position is located in our Paramus, NJ office, with three days on-site (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a team flex day) and two days remote.
Job Overview:
Looking for a bright, motivated design intern that would be responsible for providing support for the Creative Services department (Print & Digital); including the design and production of all marketing materials, invitations, posters, event collateral, web banners, emails, website graphics, social media graphics, etc. Collaboration with team members to develop best visual strategy and to join in on creative brainstorming meetings. Qualified candidates will possess strong graphic design skills, be detail-oriented, self-motivated and have the ability to organize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Print and Digital Designers to:
Input edits/corrections as needed
Photo research
Produce mock-ups
Create and optimize charts, graphs, tables, infographics
Design web banners, social media ads, emails
Develops designs and templates for PowerPoint and Google Slides presentations
Skills and Requirements:
Qualifications include:
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office programs (especially PowerPoint) a must
Knowledge of Figma a PLUS, but not necessary
Google Suite (Slides, Docs, Sheets)
Demonstrates design skills and abilities
Is an extremely detailed, organized, and deadline-oriented individual, with excellent time-management skills
Possesses excellent written, verbal, & interpersonal communication skills
Excels at working both collaboratively and independently
Special Instructions:
MUST provide a portfolio/website with creative examples
What We Offer:
Location: Paramus, NJ
Salary: $16.50/hr.
Start Date/ Duration: June 16, 2025 to August 15, 2025 (9 weeks)
Schedule: 32 hours a week; Hybrid; Summer Fridays
