This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams and locations.

  

We are seeking a Grant and Financial Incentive Manager who is responsible for identifying, securing, and managing grants and incentives to support Blue's infrastructure projects. This key role involves developing strategic processes to evaluate all facility and infrastructure projects against potential funding opportunities and coordinating with cross-functional teams including Legal, Finance, Supply Chain and Government Relations. This role will oversee the entire grant lifecycle, from pre-award research and proposal development to post-award implementation and reporting. This position requires a proactive leader with a strong ability to navigate complex funding landscapes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with all regulations. By effectively leveraging grants and incentives, the manager will play a crucial role in enhancing the financial sustainability and innovation capacity of Blue’s infrastructure initiatives .

This role includes the following key responsibilities:

Develop and implement processes to identify infrastructure projects eligible for grants and incentivesIdentify and share applicable projects with the Government Relations and Finance teams to explore opportunitiesCoordinate with Government Relations, Finance, Legal, and other functional support teams to pursue and secure the applicable grants and incentivesLead the preparation and submission of grant applications and proposals during the "Pre-Award" phaseManage the "Award" phase, including application review, negotiation, and acceptance of grants and incentivesOversee the "Post-Award" phase with responsibility for implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and closeout activitiesCollaborate with Government Relations to establish and maintain relationships with funding agencies and grantorsWork with Legal and Finance groups to ensure compliance with all grant and incentive requirements, regulations, and reporting obligationsDisseminate information on funding opportunities and requirements across relevant departmentsContinuously improve the grant management process to align with best practices and organizational objectivesAdjust strategies in response to changing business environments and regulationsDevelop and deliver training sessions for staff on grant and incentive processes and strategies

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant management or financial incentive programsProven track record of successfully managing the full grant lifecycle, from proposal to closeoutStrong understanding of grant compliance requirements and processesExcellent project management and organizational skillsStrong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex funding opportunitiesExceptional communication skills to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholdersAbility to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.  

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related fieldExperience working in the aerospace or infrastructure industryDemonstrated success in securing large-scale grants or financial incentivesProficiency in grant management software and toolsAbility to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentComprehensive knowledge of financial management and budgeting principlesCPA designation


 

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $130,518.00-$182,724.15

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification, Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
