Description
Grant Accounting/Billing: 80% - 90%
Prepare financial reports and invoices for all grants to ensure timely and accurate submission to government funders and private foundations.
Ensure financial compliance with government and private foundation funding requirements.
Prepare journal entries and allocations as needed.
Respond to funder-related inquiries from key stakeholders at Met Council and various agencies.
Assist in the preparation of funder desk audits.
Maintain accurate and updated financial records and files.
Special Projects: 10% - 20%
Assist the Director of Budgets and Grants Management in the preparation of special financial reports and projections as needed.
Maintain database of administrative contracts. This includes running queries, reports, and inputting data.

Requirements
Skill and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or Business (required).
Familiarity with Private Foundations, New York City and New York State funder requirements (DFTA, DYCD, OTDA, etc) (required).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF functions) (required).
Must possess critical thinking skills; must be able to understand the impact of budgets and contracts throughout the agency.
Familiarity with PASSPort, HHS Accelerator, Grants Gateway (Required).
Familiarity with OMB Uniform Guidance (preferred).
