Position Summary: Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Graduate Student Assistant, Membership and Student Programs – Boca Raton, FL. The Alumni and Community Engagement Center at Florida Atlantic is seeking a Graduate Student Assistant, Membership and Student Programs to lead support of our student engagement programming and department initiatives. The candidate should be well organized and detail-oriented with interpersonal/verbal communication skills. The position requires an outgoing personality who enjoys assisting students, family and family members, faculty, staff, and alumni. This role reports to the Membership and Student Programs Coordinator and additional supervisors and is responsible for supporting various membership and event-related initiatives for the Alumni division, Alumni Association, and Student Alumni Association (SAA). Summary of Responsibilities include: + Membership Validation (Student Alumni Association (SAA): Validate active memberships for Alumni and SAA, including tracking current and lapsed members. + Member Correspondence: Manage communication with members, both current and lapsed, ensuring timely and effective outreach. + Marketing & Outreach: Assist in planning and executing marketing communications and membership outreach initiatives. + Event Support: Help plan and staff membership initiatives, including working with the SAA, Ambassadors, and Prowlers; Support SAA presence at all home games, including supervising staff, planning, and coordinating efforts; Assist with the coordination and execution of membership initiatives, such as the COMBINE. + Inventory Control: Oversee inventory for member-exclusive items. + Portal Management: Manage the Florida Atlantic Portal for member-related activities and initiatives. + Administrative Duties: Perform various administrative, budgetary, and office tasks, with proficiency in Microsoft Office. + Event Management: Support the planning and execution of meetings, special SAA events, record-keeping, and calendar management. + Signature Events: Provide support for signature events as needed. View it here: www.bdb.org/apartments Minimum Qualifications: Degree-seeking graduate student with a minimum of five credit hours (or nine if international) and a minimum 3.0 GPA. Graduate Assistants fall under the non-exempt, hourly pay rate type. Salary: $15.00 per hour. College or Department: OPS - IA: Alumni Affairs / Communications Location: Boca Raton Work Days and Hours: Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Hours flexible with course schedule.
