Graduate NPI Manufacturing Engineer - (89809)
JOB TITLE: Graduate NPI product Engineer DEPARTMENT: Technical Solutions REPORTING TO: Development Project Manager DIRECT REPORTS: N/A OBJECTIVES OF POSITION:  Be part of a product development team, bringing leading-­edge products to market including class 3 medical devices.  Project manage new products and processes during the pre-production and validation phase of the on-boarding process.  Monitor status of new products and ensure effective execution of projects according to required product specification, internal procedures and customer expectations.  Identify areas for improvement both in the product design and manufacturing process as the builds are executed  Become a Subject matter expert on customer processes and provide a technical point of contact for the customer on Quality and Engineering issues RESPONSIBILITIES:  Provide Engineering support for all activities in the product development process.  Work with design engineering and assist in transition of prototypes into cost efficient and production ready product. Support the execution of Verification and Validation on all new tooling, processes or product changes.  Monitor status of new products and ensure effective execution of projects according to required product specification, internal procedures and customer expectations.  Prepare plans for NPI phases and coordinate with all stakeholders and ensure good quality products. Official document and revision history is available on Agile.  Configure assembly processes, sequence of activities, and material handling toward lean manufacturing practices.  Develop, troubleshoot and error proof these process to reduce risk and ensure the quality of the product.  Provide DFx with focus on DFM & DFA on New Product Developments  Work with the operations and engineering department to develop and define work instructions and technical training.  Support the development of Automation systems for new and existing products. Quality:   Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements Health & Safety:    Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations. PERSONNEL SPECIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL:  NFQ Level 8 Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, manufacturing, Mechatronics, Biomedical, electronic or automation related disciplines)  Good communication and influencing skills.  Ability to effectively present information to customers and internal personnel at all levels.  Excellent PC skills especially MS-Excel  Some travel may be required DESIRABLE:  Experience using Solidworks or similar 3D design software  Project Management Qualification and /or experience  Medical device process validation knowledge  Experience with electronics, product assembly or cleanroom processes.  Automation expertise including PLC, pneumatics, robotics, cobots, vision systems, etc.  Experience with operational software systems (Oracle, Agile,)  Lean 6-sigma training Procedure Number: 450 – 70012-EN0xx Revision: 1 Page 3 of 3 Issue Date: 25 June 2024    3D printing experience  Plastics moldings knowledge
