What does a Bridge Engineer in our Transport Delivery team do?

 

Develop concept and detailed designs of simple and complex bridges, culverts, underpasses, retaining walls and other transport infrastructure structures. Coordinate with bridge designers and modellers to produce drawing deliverables. Plan and carry out site inspections, when required. Prepare design documentation, technical reports and project specifications. Manage interface with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders. Liaise with clients as directed by project managers, to ensure project deliverables are submitted within the required timeframes.

 

About You

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil or Structural), with interest in bridges Effective communication and report-writing skills Passion for learning and problem-solving Eligible to work in Australia Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation Knowledge of relevant software such as Spacegass, CAD tools and Strand 7 is beneficial but not essential
