GPS Standards Manager, Global Procurement Sustainability (GPS)
Description *This role can be based in Barcelona, London or Luxembourg* Amazon is seeking a talented and driven professional to join our Global Procurement Sustainability (GPS) team. In this role, you will be responsible for working with GPS teams (Community Impact, Environment, Social Responsibility, Strategic Engagement & Partnership, and Supplier Development & Impact) to drive process and policy standardization. The GPS Standards Manager will play a pivotal role in centralizing the requirement gathering, prioritization, project execution, coordination and communication in the areas of process and policy updates as they relate to sustainability needs. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive meaningful change at a global scale, leveraging Amazon's vast resources and reach to create positive environmental, social, and economic impact through our purpose-led procurement practices. The ideal candidate will be passionate about understanding customer pain points, works independently, is comfortable with ambiguity, is able to influence internal/external partners at all levels of the organization and has a passion for creating positive change to help shape the future of responsible business at Amazon. In this role, you will be the primary interface between GPS pillar teams and Global Procurement Organization Teams, such as Global Supplier Management, Source 2 Pay Excellence, Global Procurement Central Services and Policy & Compliance. You will build collaborative relationships with these partners, working closely to identify and resolve requirements to create and execute process & policy change. You will experience a wide range of problem solving situations, requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis. This role will particularly suit someone with strong skills in program management, analytics, communication both written and verbal, with relationship building. Key job responsibilities - Coordinating closely with GPS functional pillars to identify and develop policy & process updates for integration into formal GPO policy and/or process as they relate to pillar and regulatory requirements across core areas of vendor onboarding, sourcing & award, contract management, pr2po, catalogue management and supplier management. - Integrating GPS driven policy & process changes into GPO polices & processes and ensuring all targets and goals are supported by and achievable - Working with GPCS Compliance team to integrate relevant policy & process controls and ensuring these controls are accurately measured, monitored and reported. - Co-generating methodologies for calculating and tracking compliance to GPS policy & process requirements. - Serving as main POC for GPCS S2PE and Policy team on reviewing and coordinating any policy & process related requirements and approvals as needed. - Driving appropriate data oriented analysis, adoption of technology solutions and process improvement projects to achieve operational and business goal - Managing stakeholder communication across multiple lines of business on operational milestones, process changes and escalations. - Communicating and taking the lead role in identifying gaps in process areas and working with all stakeholders to resolve the gaps Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree - Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.) - Experience in program or project management - Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams - Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics - Experience in supply chain - Experience defining and executing program requirements - Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization Preferred Qualifications - Experience leading process improvements - Master's degree - Experience building processes, project management, and schedules Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
